Kauai Travel Guide We spent a week in Kauai for our babymoon, and it ended up being one of our favorite trips ever. If you’re looking for a destination that combines adventure, relaxation, incredible scenery, and amazing food, Kauai truly has it all. Unlike some of the more developed Hawaiian islands, only about 3% of […]

I’ve visited Italy nine times, but my first trip to Sicily completely surpassed my expectations. I spent a week there on a FAM (familiarization trip), exploring as much of the region as one itinerary could possibly hold. Even with a packed schedule, I truly got to immerse myself in the island’s landscapes, people, culture, and […]

For our anniversary this September we packed up the car, turned up the playlists, and drove from Dallas to Santa Fe for a weekend we’ll never forget, one full of red rock views, crisp mountain air, great food, and dog-friendly fun. It was our first time in Santa Fe and we absolutely loved it- from […]

I just spent two incredible weeks exploring Northern Italy, and I can honestly say it was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and breathtaking scenery. My journey began with a week on the sparkling shores of Lake Garda, where I wandered through charming lakeside towns, indulged in gourmet meals, and enjoyed boat rides on the […]

If you’re dreaming of a tropical escape where the beaches are straight out of a postcard and the vibe is relaxed and welcoming, Turks and Caicos is the perfect spot. This little slice of paradise in the Caribbean is made up of 40 small islands (though only a few are inhabited), and it’s all about […]

My husband and I took a trip out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming this December and it was the perfect couple’s weekend getaway! Jackson Hole is a popular destination year round- with hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more in the warm months and of course the world-class skiing and snow activities in the winter. There’s direct flights from Dallas to Jackson so it was very easy to get to! You can either stay in the town of Jackson or Teton Village which is just 30 minutes further out.

WHERE TO STAY
We stayed at Four Seasons Jackson Hole and I highly recommend it! Everything about our stay was perfect, from the service, hospitality, location, views, food, and experiences. The concierge team is very accommodating and can assist you with transportation needs, booking restaurant reservations in town, or planning excursions. For skiing, it doesn’t get more convenient than this: they have their own base camp in the hotel where you can pick up your rentals and step outside and you’re on the slopes. They were also very attentive to my gluten allergy at all our meals on the property which was so nice. There’s plenty to do even if you never leave the hotel- from skiing, spa, swimming, aprés ski, and grabbing a drink in the speakeasy- you’ll never get bored!

WHAT TO DO:
The main winter activity in Jackson Hole is skiing/snowboarding, but if you aren’t a fan there’s still plenty to do! Some other activities offered are snowmobiling, dog sledding, wildlife safari tours, sleighing through the elk refuge, and of course visiting Grand Tetons or Yellowstone National Park. We wanted to go snowmobiling but there wasn’t quite enough snow yet in early December, so we opted to do the wildlife tour and were taken through Grand Teton and saw bison, elk, sheep, and eagles. Definitely spend some time in the town of Jackson and walk around the shops and art galleries, and of course take photos at the iconic antler arches on the main square. We went to the famous hat store, Kemo Sabé and had a custom hat made and it was such a fun experience!

WHERE TO EAT/DRINK:
I have a friend who’s family lives in Jackson Hole so I got all of her restaurant recommendations for our trip! Here is a list of the places we went and more that we didn’t have time to check out:

OTHER:
For getting around Jackson Hole you can either rent a car at the airport or use transportation services. There is Uber but they can get expensive. There’s also the START bus that shuttles from Jackson town to Teton Village and is just a few dollars to take.
