If you’re planning a couple’s session or engagement session and have no clue what to wear, you’ve come to the right place! I always tell my clients to wear something they feel comfortable in, and bring a few options! In my opinion, neutral colors photograph the best for engagement photos. This could include denim, white, tan, black, nude, or soft pastels such as blush or baby blue! Avoid busy/bold patterns, but a sutble design such as florals can be nice. It’s always a good idea to take some photos in a more casual look like jeans and sneakers, and some in a more dressy outfit like a flowy dress and suit. Always make sure your partner is complimenting your outfit!
Casual Outfit Ideas:
- Jeans with tee and sneakers for both
- Jeans with sweater and booties | jeans with henley and boots
- Sundress with sneakers, boots, or sandals | jeans with tee and sneakers
Dressy Outfit Ideas:
- Long flowy dress with heels | suit and dress shoes
- Maxi dress | jeans + button down + blazer + boots
- Midi dress | khakis + button down + blazer
Other Things to Bring:
- You may want to bring along props such as champagne + glasses, picnic blanket and pillows, or even something fun like wine and pizza!
- Any accessories you may want to wear in some photos such as a cowboy hat or beanie
- Comfortable shoes to slip on while walking
- Water bottles, hairbrush, hairspray/gel if it’s windy, and makeup to touch up
